Each Christmas, Taralye – the oral language centre for deaf children – conduct a Christmas appeal to raise much needed funds for their centre, services and programs.
This year Taralye’s aim was to make this holiday season LOUD for children who are deaf by encouraging people to donate this Christmas.
In the past, Taralye have sent out their Christmas appeal as an envelope with an enclosed letter, donation form and reply-paid envelope. To cut down on both costs and materials, Little Green Apple worked with the organisation to create a self-mailer booklet that would be delivered to letterboxes as a colourful brochure.
Designed as a DL, 8 panel direct mail piece, the booklet featured a perforated cover panel which could be removed. A reply-paid envelope was included as one of the panels of the flyer. The remaining panels contained the donation form which, once completed, could be folded together and pressed down with self-glue on the edges ready to be mailed back.
The Taralye Christmas Appeal direct mail campaign was delivered to thousands of letterboxes in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs during the first week of December.
